Thursday in the Garden

::meowwwww::
Hi kitties, it's gardening day so I thought I would show you the expansion of our little urban garden.  We had a small patch of grass at the front of our house which wasn't doing very well so we decided to rip it all out and make the entire area a garden.  We already had some plantings up by the porch and down by the sidewalk but we needed to fill in the middle.  We've added purple liatris, lavender, yellow day lilies, bee balm, lambs ears, coreopsis, delphinium and a few others that I've already forgotten the names of...oops I never save the tags they come with!  Several bags of black wood chips were the finishing touch and I am very pleased with the results :-)

::Three Paw Taps:: Hi All, while we were away it seem things really exploded in the garden.  We left brown grass and twig-like trees and when we returned a jungle had sprouted!!!  I thought I'd share a few pictures, but please remember that...

There is still a little happening in the garden, even at this late stage of the summer. Despite oppressive heat, humidity, neglect AND a lack of rain, my garden is doing quite well.  I can't discount the value of old...

- Thursday In The Garden
I thought I'd join in with the gardening kitties out there.  I'm afraid my garden is woefully neglected at the moment.  It's been too hot lately to do any serious work outdoors but I did manage to take a few pictures of things...

- Molly Monday
 Age has its perks! Molly is the only one of my kitties who is allowed outside. She will be nineteen in a couple of months, and I know there is no danger of her hurdling the fence and escaping the garden. She just likes to amble around and sniff...
